Adult further education: how do we measure success?

Closed 10 Oct 2014

Overview

We are consulting on how to provide better and more useful information on what learners do after leaving further education and training. This will help both learners and employers make better informed decisions when choosing courses and training.

Please click on the link below to share your own views by answering the consultation questions and view the consultation document. You can choose to answer as many or few questions as you would like, and if you're a learner or employer with limited time available, there are specific questions for you.

You can also email us with your views, or to sign up to one of the events that we'll be holding during the consutlation.

What happens next

Your responses are being analysed and used to inform the next steps. We will publish a government response in due course together with experimental data based on 2011/12 academic year performance and a further consultation about how the measures will be used from 2016/17 as part of a rigorous accountability framework for post 19 education and skills system; aligned as far as possible with the pre-19 system.
