Contracts for Difference for Low Carbon Electricity Generation: call for evidence on proposed amendments to Supply Chain Plans

Closed 29 Apr 2022

Opened 4 Feb 2022

Overview

A rapid and sustainable scale-up of low carbon deployment is needed to meet the Net Zero agenda. The Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme is fundamental to achieving this goal, supporting low cost and low carbon electricity generation.

The government is constantly looking at ways it can improve Supply Chain Plans policy to make it more effective in delivering its policy objectives and streamlining the process to make it easier for applicants.

This Call for Evidence seeks views and evidence on the potential for more significant changes to the Supply Chain Plans policy for CfD Allocation Round 6, which can further enhance their impact.
