Closed 19 Oct 2010

Opened 27 Jul 2010

Overview

This consultation was carried out by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. In July 2016, the department merged with the Department for Business and Innovation and Skills to form the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

This consultation looks at a number of issues including:

Consultation respondents are asked to give their views on the specific changes being proposed on phasing of offshore wind generation and biomass sustainability.

The Bioliquids sustainability criteria are required by the Renewables Energy Directive and as such we are asking about how these should be implemented and what are the practical issues faced by stakeholders in meeting these requirements.

The areas where we are calling for evidence are aimed at informing further consultation activity in the future, including the Banding Review due to start in October 2010.

Why your views matter

We are seeking views on a number of proposed changes to the Renewables Obligation to be implemented by way of amendments to the Renewables Obligation Order 2011 (ROO 2011), intended to come into effect on 1 April 2011.
